Hello, I have Norton Utilities 15.0 and I have gone through the process of analyzing for the need of optimization for the C:/ drive and also for boot-time. The prompt for each of these indicates that there are restore points setup for my regular Windows backup tasks. And, that the optimization procedure may possibly negatively affect the backup tasks. I'm given two options through a prompt: 1) I can force the optimization and then manually reset the restore points. 2) Or, I can retry after the backup task is complete. I am hesitant to perform optimization until I can better understand the consequences of the process. I am posting this topic hopefully to gain some insight into what my options are.
