Hi, earlier today (12/12/13), I was very fortunate to have made contact with Norton Support about this optimization task with Norton Utilities 15.0. It was concluded that there was a conflict (between Windows and Norton Utilities) with restore points being created. I accepted the advice of the technician to "Force Optimization" and follow through with the optimization. As a result, my disk and boot-time are both optimized and running normally now. Thank you very much to Norton Support. This experience has been enlightening to me for two reasons that I would like to highlight. First, if your disk hasn't been optimized at all and needs optimization after analyzing then choosing "Force Optimization" is a good choice. Secondly, the system restore points will be created automatically by Norton Utilities following the disk optimization. This has been a positive learning experience for me and I am very grateful for the assistance I received from the Norton Chat Support (technician: L.V.). Now that I am moving forward past this problem, I hope this message can be useful help to others with similar issues. So far so good for me with this type of problem and I will continue to hope for the best.
