Hi max007,
If you can please provide me your Norton Account e-mail address by replying to the private message that I sent you I can pass that along to the development team to further investigate.
Hi Laurence
Many thanks for your help.
As I said originally, my Norton Management does not show NU in my Products. It is in my order history, but without any Download facility.
However, thanks to Dave H's post, I checked to see if NU15 is compatible with the operating system on my new computer (Windows 8.1) and it isn't.
Thanks very much to everyone else for their help. I apologise for inadvertently wasting your time!
Regards.
Gordon
Your not wasting our time, you can ask us anything you want.
If you have some free time some day you may want to contact Norton chat support and explain the situation.
I have seen some very favorable results posted as well as extreame discounts offered.
Best of luck
Dave

If I log into https://manage.norton.com/ under Order History, Date of Order : 3/10/2011, the Norton Utilities I can access and download is version 15, and for that order it says for Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8.
But if I log into https://account.norton.com/ under Order History, Date of Order: Mar 10, 2011, the Norton Utilities I can access and download is version 16. Have you tried logging into both sites to see if there is any difference in what may be available?
regards,
Laurence
Hi
In order for the alert to work there shouldn't be any space between the @ and the username
Stay well and surf safe
edit- sorry I confused and thought Gordon made the post about it saying windows 8 in the norton account.
Dave
Please try this:
1.Boot the device in safe mode.
2.Click start -> Computer -> open C: Folder -> Program files ( X 86) -> Search for Norton anti theft. Then right click on it & uninstall it.
3.Then click Start and Run.
4.Type regedit
5.Clt+F
6.Type in "Norton"
7.Delete all that comes up
8. F3 + Enter
9.Delete what ever comes up
10. keep on doing this till all Norton files are removed.
11.Reboot it in normal mode and check.
@dickevans
Hi there. Thank you Dick.

I believe these orders will only show up if you purchased directly from Norton. I did not get mine that way. My NU16 does not show up on either web site.
There is a note below the list in Order History that says
Hi tjharring,

I added the new addresses in the DNS but how can I check to make sure my pc is connected to the Norton DNS?
Will Norton every come out a app of Safe Hotspot for Andord or Blackberry or even the Surface? Why is in only on pc/mac and ios?
To check your DNS settings, click on the Windows Start button, and in the Search box type cmd. Click on CMD.exe. In the Command box type "ipconfig /all" , without the quotes. Look for your connection details and you will see the a listing of your DNS Servers.
FYI I have my DNS settings in my router, and this still shows the correct settings.

Using the router/modem just makes it easier to protect all devices on your network with one step setup. You can still enter the settings into each device under your network settings. This is not a flaw with Norton supporting their DNS, just a shortcoming of your ISP's service.
Do you have Connect Safe working for you now?
Yes I checked and I am using Norton DNS. Do you know why they took down the website to check with a big green okay or a red umm lets say no?
I just found a very easy way to see if you are connected and something for people that need to see it to believe. I used IE open it type in a address wrong type in any website and instead of . com put . con(no space) yes N and done you will see. I don't know if I am the first one to find this out but you can pass this along.
Thanks for pointing out a way to test the system. I had run across that earlier when I mistyped something.
Not sure why Norton decided to change/remove the testing site. I also do not know why they had to change the DNS IPs.The changes may be connected.
